I don't want to sound like I'm defending left-wing, hyper-partisans like Cenk Uygur and the rest of The Young Turks and others, while I'm bashing right-wing, hyper-partisans like Bill O'Reilly and the rest of the Fox News talk show anchors, because I'm not. But Cenk Uygur is damn right here. (For a change) You take out the word left and replace it with the word right and Bill O'Reilly would be accurately describing the hyper-partisan right in America. Had O'Reilly just said the left and right both do fill in the blank, to describe how they negatively talk about the other side, he would've also been right. 

Welcome to modern American politics 101: 

the hyper-partisan right sees supposed left-wingers who in some cases are closeted Socialists (like The Young Turks) and in some cases who are limousine Liberals who talk like leftists, but live like Manhattan and Hollywood liberal capitalists (people who love liberal democracy and American capitalism) like Joy Behar and others from ABC's The View, and other faux leftists in America, as elitist, Ivy League Hippies, who believe they know better than anyone who disagrees with them and want to use big government to boss people around and run their lives for them. 

The hyper-partisan left sees right-wingers as country bumpkin rednecks, who live in the 16th Century mentally and culturally and want to take America not back to the 1950s, but more like 1915 when women of all racial and ethnic backgrounds, as well as African-Americans and other racial and even ethnic minorities couldn't even vote in many places in America. And hyper-partisan leftists see right-wingers as people who believe that America is being overrun by women, minorities and gays and again want to take America back to the 19 teens culturally and politically. 

It's not often that the left-wing and right-wing are right about anything, let alone right about the same things, at the same time. But they're damn right about each other and how they view the other side. Which is all the evidence you need to know why you never want the kids to run the household, the inmates to run the prison, the mental patients, to run the asylum, because the world is sometimes too crazy of a place to let sane, responsible, competent, people who live on Planet Earth both physically and mentally, to run it.
